Youth Conservation, A first positive outcome

The Youth-Conservation platform has already been online for 6 months, and the results and feedback from the field are very encouraging!

More than 6,500 of you have visited the platform and followed our modules. Thank you for your trust and interest.

Who are you? Parents, teachers and trainers from the following countries: Democratic Republic of Congo, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Senegal, Madagascar, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Togo and France.

We hope that the documents and tools available meet your needs, for your children, for your lessons or for your actions to raise young people’s awareness of environmental protection.

As a reminder, the resources, which are 100% free of charge, are organised around 6 modules, each devoted to a particular theme: nature on earth, marine biodiversity, climate change, threats to nature, nature and our health and, last but not least, the future of our planet.

We would also like to remind you that you have a number of additional resources at your disposal for leading discussions on the environment with your pupils or the young people you are training:

  • Guides in pdf format to help you build your lessons with concrete examples of how to take action in the field with young people
  • Summary posters to download from the website with the key lessons for each module
  • Videos to make learning and memorising easier
  • A private FB group dedicated to teachers and trainers for exchanging and sharing best practice in environmental education: https://www.facebook.com/groups/youthconservation. There are now almost 150 of you in this group. Join us to exchange ideas with your peers and build a committed community.
