Here is the activity report of the project “Environmental Education and Sustainable Development – ​​educating children to encourage them to develop actions in favor of the climate at the local level” carried out at the China Chad Friendship School in N’djamena in the municipality of the 5th arrondissement:

We continued our activity until the end of the school year, which we closed and celebrated together on World Environment Day on June 5, 2024 with 216 students who are our school climate ambassadors. 

Following our activity, we have the following projects for the coming months:

. Collaboration with communities: work collaboratively with local communities, municipal authorities and environmental organizations to strengthen the impact of the project and encourage a culture of respect for the environment at the local level.

. Continuous awareness raising: organize regular events, such as conferences, exhibitions or competitions, to keep children interested and engaged in environmental protection.

. Creative workshops: plastic painting, wall frescoes, ecology creativity for children, etc. which helps to strengthen the impact of the project and encourage a culture of respect for the environment at the local level.

. Competition challenge: organize an environmental conservation quiz which will put students into competition and allow them to get involved

. Guided tours: organize guided tours for older children of emblematic sites such as processing factories and large parastatal institutions such as: Les Brasseries du Tchad (BDT), the technical institute of agricultural research and development (ITRAD ), the National School of Modern Slaughterhouse Breeding Technique, the national agency of the Great Green Wall, SIMATRAC, CECOQDA etc..
