About Youth Conservation
What is Youth Conservation’s mission? How did this project come about? Who are the platform’s resources intended for?
Raising awareness, educating and training eco-citizens
To preserve the planet, we need to know it well, but also to understand how it works. Educating the younger generation about environmental conservation is essential to encourage them to take positive action on the world around them. It is also vital that those who help them grow up are properly trained.
How the project began
Youth Conservation was developed in 2022 by IUCN’s Programme for African Protected Areas and Conservation (PAPACO), which also offers online and onsite courses for conservation professionals. Youth Conservation’s educational resources are aimed at children, young people and the professionals who work with them.
